  1. How many times will you visit our pets?

We will visit as many times as you request. Our priority is to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. This will be discussed in detail during our Introductory Meeting. Meal times, exercise needs, and medication or treatment schedules help to identify how many visits will be best for your pets. Most dog families generally schedule three daily visits; cat families schedule one or two daily.

  2. What happens during the Introductory Meeting?

This meeting provides the opportunity for you to meet your Pet Player pet care specialist and we can meet and become familiar with your pets. We will ask about and discuss each pet’s daily routine in significant detail as well as Veterinarian information, emergency contact information, and any special requests you may have. Once all of your pet’s needs are documented and understood, we will then discuss care of your home. Upon conclusion of our meeting all of your questions will be answered. We expect you will now feel the peace of mind Pet Players can provide you while caring for your pets.

  3. How long will you visit with our pets?

We spend 30 – 45 minutes during each visit. Upon arrival we will gather your newspaper and mail, then perform a general walkthrough of your home to ensure all is secure and as it was left from the visit before. While with your pets we will provide the requested exercise and activities like play, walks, and companionship. Meals are served and medications are administered, water is freshened, and we spend the majority of our time interacting with your pets to ensure they are happy and healthy. Just prior to departing we will change lighting and blinds, clean up yard waste and/or litter boxes. If plants need watered or the trash service is scheduled we will take care of those tasks too.

  4. Are you insured?

Yes, Pet Players is insured and bonded through Pet Sitters International. A copy of our policy is available upon request.

  5. How much does a Pet Players visit cost?

The per visit price depends on a few factors, but in general dogs begin at $15 and cats, birds, and pocket pets at $10. Combination pricing is applied for multiple pet households. For example, if you have a dog and a cat, the dog fee is $15 and the cat fee is changed to a DAILY visit fee of $5. Medication or treatments for pets may require an additional fee based on how they are administered. ALL of your pricing questions will be answered and an estimate will be provided during your initial call or contact to Pet Players. Our pricing is quite comparable to what you would pay at a boarding kennel, and your pets will stay in their own home and familiar surroundings!

  6. What areas do you service?

Our primary service area is southeast Columbus, including Pickerington, Canal Winchester, and Groveport. A 15 mile radius from Canal Winchester is our service boundary, however we will service areas beyond that distance for a per mileage charge.

  7. Will you stay overnight in my home?

At this time we do not provide overnight service. Your pet’s daily routine is very important to help keep them calm and comforted while you are away. Late night visits can be discussed and scheduled during our Introductory Meeting.
